E.M.U.F.O.R.A (East Midlands UFO Research Association) was established in August 1990 and consists of a handful of dedicated researchers. At first we collected reports of local sightings in the East Midlands area, but eventually due to public demand we began to hold public meetings every three months which are still very well attended.
In between these puplic meetings we still carry out research and investigations. We attend other groups meetings and conferences whenever possible and we also liaise with other organisations around both this country and the rest of the world.
The founders of E.M.U.F.O.R.A., Carole and Anthony James have been to Gulf Breeze twice, interviewed Ed Walters and filmed a UFO in broad daylight. They were also last British researchers to climb White Side Mountain and film the secret base at Groom Lake, also known as Area 51 in Nevada. Shortly after their visit, 4000 acres of land were seized by the U.S Government including White Side Mountain and Freedom Ridge. More trips to these locations are planned.
E.M.U.F.O.R.A. staff were also the first group of British researchers to enter Renlesham Forest with eye witness Larry Warren. Mr Warren was one of the eye witnesses on the third night of events of a UFO encounter back in 1980, now known as the Bentwaters Incident.
We also produce a quaterly magazine and operate an exchange system with other UFO Groups worldwide. This we feel is the best way to gain up to date information which we can pass onto our members.
